Robert Murphy is a research fellow at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), having broad expertise in materials science, ranging from polymer synthesis to polymer fabrication using additive manufacturing (3D printing) techniques.
His role in POLINA is to develop the materials library through pragmatic polymer design, to provide an unprecedented class of bio-inspired materials with the capability for translation towards adaption in lithographic printing. He believes that POLINA has a high potential to offer novel, disruptive technologies for a range of target biomedical applications.
