On Thursday, 13 March 2025, several EIC Pathfinder experts hosted a writing workshop in the Tangent Main Space at the Trinity College Dublin (TCD) Business School in Ireland with a focus on the Pathfinder Open and Pathfinder Challenge calls.
Among the speakers was POLINA coordinator Prof. Andreas Heise who is heading the Polymer Chemistry and Biopolymer Labs in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). In POLINA, RCSI is the project coordinator and contributes to the development of lithographic patterning as well as its application integration for tracheal implants and spheroid models. During the panel discussion, Heise shared his insights and experience as an awardee of a successful project case study – the POLINA Pathfinder Open project.
Participants not only learned how to approach the proposal writing for the EIC Pathfinder call and how to write impact statements in the Pathfinder programme, but also how to handle Communication and Dissemination as well as Implementation strategies. The workshop concluded with one-to-one meetings where applicants received tailored advice on their proposal concept.
