4DCell is a biotechnology company located in Paris that aims to revolutionize cell culture. To carry out the next generation therapies in the context of fast-paced changes of regulation, cell culture methods must better imitate in vivo cellular environments. 4Dcell technologies allow the precise control of the microenvironment of cells in culture (geometry, chemical composition, mechanical properties, etc.), with the aim to better mimic the natural environment of cells in culture, reduce the use of animal models in clinical testing and improve cell conditioning in cell therapies. 4Dcell currently commercializes tools to confine cell growth on 2D surfaces (micropatterns), limit cell height (cell confiners), and hydrogels that mimic the mechanical properties in the body. 4Dcell is currently developing more advanced tools to form and grow spheroids, as well are cardiac microtissues with advanced readouts.
