Within the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, POLYMAT is an internationally and multidisciplinary research center that includes a wide variety of research teams working in the fields of polymer synthesis, polymerization reaction engineering, membranes, polymers for electronic, energy storage, biomedical applications, rheology and polymer processing. POLYMAT is a Basque Excellence Research Center focused on polymers promoted by the UPV/EHU and Ikerbasque Foundation. POLYMAT is devoted to develop a vibrant use-inspired fundamental research on synthesis, assembly and processing of polymers to contribute to the development of polymers, enabling addressing some of the technological needs of the 21st Century in fields such as energy, electronics, health care and sustainability. Among its research staff, it includes 40 Senior Researchers and more than 150 PhD and postdoctoral fellows. In the last years POLYMAT has provided technical support to more than 100 companies, both SMEs and large companies.
In POLINA, UPV/EHU-POLYMAT leads the work package on Chemistry & Materials and it will actively participate in the communication and dissemination activities of the project.
