Industrial Round Table: Progress Towards Greener Chemistry Innovations for Lithography & Medical Devices

June 10 @ 14:00 - 15:00

Exploring sustainable, bio-based material solutions for the chemical, lithography, and medical device industries.

Join the POLINA Industrial Round Table to discuss sustainable advancements in polymer/material science and their impact on key industries, leveraging additive manufacturing (3D printing) for production. Engage with experts, provide feedback, and support the transition to greener innovations.

This event is also part of the EU Green Week 2025, Europe’s leading environmental conference and an annual opportunity to raise awareness, promote and discuss the latest and upcoming developments in European environmental policy. The EU Green Week attracts policymakers, businesses, leading environmentalists, and other interested parties from across Europe and the world.

The POLINA project is at the forefront of developing sustainable and innovative material solutions for the chemical, lithography, and medical device industries through bio-inspired material design. This interactive Industrial Round Table will bring together industry experts, researchers, and stakeholders to discuss the potential applications and challenges of implementing POLINA’s materials.

The event is free of charge, open to all audiences and will be hosted by the POLINA Project Coordinator Andreas Heise and Robert Murphy from RCSI and partners Eva Blasco from UHD and Haritz Sardon from UPV-EHU, POLYMATParticipants will gain insights into how bio-based materials can drive sustainability while providing valuable feedback on industry needs for additive manufacturing and beyond.

Further discussions in the field of 3D bioprinting will be led by Innovation Manager Arpita Roychoudhury from xolo on “rethinking the future of MedTech with precision and customization through Xolography” and by Principal Scientist Volodymyr Kuzmenko from CELLINK on “the use of plant-based nanocellulose biomaterials in 3D bioprinting to manufacture 3D tissue models”.

Key discussion points include:

✅ Sustainable solutions in chemical manufacturing, lithography, and medical applications

✅ Challenges and opportunities for adopting POLINA’s materials in industrial settings

✅ Policy and market needs to accelerate green technology adoption

Your input will shape future developments and help bridge the gap between fundamental research and real-world applications!
