On 15 July 2026, the University of Aveiro invited students from the 10th to the 12th grade to experience 3D printing and biofabrication of human tissue analogs during the outreach program “Chemistry in Action – Solutions for New Challenges”. As part of the POLINA project, participants were introduced to the principles of biofabrication and learned how light-sensitive biomaterials and advanced 3D printing technologies can be used to engineer living tissue models.
